Invisalign Monthly Cost and Payment Plans in the UK
Invisalign in the UK typically costs about £50 to £210 a month on a 24- or 36-month payment plan, depending on the treatment fee and the deposit, or more if you repay over 12 months; a £3,000 treatment with a £500 deposit over 24 months at 0% interest works out at about £104 a month. In London, adult Invisalign starts from around £2,650.
| Treatment fee | Deposit | 12 months at 0% | 24 months at 0% | 36 months at 0% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| £2,000 (minor case) | £300 | £142 | £71 | £47 |
| £2,650 (London adult, from) | £500 | £179 | £90 | £60 |
| £3,500 (moderate case) | £500 | £250 | £125 | £83 |
| £4,500 (comprehensive case) | £500 | £333 | £167 | £111 |
| £5,500 (complex case) | £500 | £417 | £208 | £139 |
These are illustrative interest-free examples, rounded to the nearest pound. Interest-bearing plans cost more per month and more in total. All finance is subject to status. At Orthodontists London we give you the total treatment fee in writing first, then explain the payment options so you can compare the monthly figure with the full cost.
How much is Invisalign a month in the UK?
The monthly cost depends on three things: the treatment fee, the deposit and the length of the plan. Most UK practices take a deposit at the start, often £300 to £1,000, and spread the balance over 6 to 36 months. Plans of up to 12 or 24 months are more often interest-free. Longer plans may charge interest.
For a typical London adult case at £2,650 to £3,500, monthly payments on a 24-month interest-free plan are roughly £90 to £125 after a £500 deposit. For a comprehensive case at £4,500, the same plan would be about £167 a month.

What is the total cost of Invisalign on finance?
On a 0% plan, the total you pay is the same as the treatment fee. On an interest-bearing plan, you pay more. The difference can be significant over a longer term. Here is an illustration for a £4,000 balance after deposit, using a representative APR of 9.9%:
| Plan | Monthly payment (approx.) | Total repaid (approx.) | Interest (approx.) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12 months at 0% | £333 | £4,000 | £0 |
| 24 months at 0% | £167 | £4,000 | £0 |
| 36 months at 9.9% APR | £128 | £4,610 | £610 |
| 48 months at 9.9% APR | £100 | £4,820 | £820 |
These figures are rounded examples to show how interest adds up, not a quote. The rate you are offered depends on the lender and your circumstances.
How do Invisalign payment plans work?
There are two main types.
In-house payment plans. The practice lets you pay the fee in instalments during treatment, usually without interest and without a credit agreement with a lender. These are often shorter, matching the length of treatment.
Finance through a lender. The practice works with a credit provider, and you sign a credit agreement with that lender. These can be interest-free or interest-bearing. They are regulated credit, so the lender carries out a credit check and must give you clear information, including the APR and total amount payable, before you sign.
Either way, ask whether the deposit is refundable if you decide not to go ahead after the digital plan, and what happens to payments if treatment runs longer than expected.
What should you check before signing up to finance?
- The total amount payable, not just the monthly figure.
- The APR. 0% means you pay no interest; anything above that adds to the total.
- Whether it is regulated credit, and who the lender is.
- What the treatment fee includes. Refinements, retainers and reviews should be clear, so the monthly figure covers everything.
- Early repayment. Most regulated agreements let you repay early; check for any fees.
- What happens if you stop treatment. You may still owe the balance.
A low monthly figure can make a more expensive treatment look cheaper. Always compare total fees first. Our guide to Invisalign cost in the UK explains what a full fee should include.
Does Invisalign finance cover refinements and retainers?
Only if the treatment fee does. Finance simply spreads whatever fee you agree, so if refinements or retainers are charged separately they will be extra on top of your monthly payments. That is another reason to read the treatment plan before the credit agreement. A fee that includes refinements for a set period, a first set of retainers and your review appointments gives you a monthly figure that reflects the real cost of treatment. If you lose an aligner or need replacement retainers after treatment, those are usually paid for separately at the time.

Request a consultationIs it better to pay upfront or monthly?
If an interest-free plan is available, spreading the cost costs you nothing extra and keeps money in your account. Some practices offer a small discount for paying in full, which can be worth taking if you have the funds. Interest-bearing finance only makes sense if spreading the cost is necessary, and it is worth checking the total you will repay.
Why do some companies advertise very low monthly prices?
Very low monthly figures usually mean one or more of the following: a long plan of 36 to 60 months, an interest-bearing rate, a large deposit, or a treatment that is shorter and cheaper than you might need. Some remote aligner companies advertise low monthly prices for treatment with little or no in-person supervision. Moving teeth without checking gums and roots first can cause problems, and refinements, retainers and aftercare may cost extra. Compare like with like: an examined, supervised course of treatment with the same inclusions.
How can you reduce your monthly Invisalign payments?
- Pay a larger deposit. Every extra £500 upfront reduces a 24-month plan by about £21 a month.
- Choose a longer interest-free term if one is offered.
- Check whether a shorter package suits your case. If your teeth only need minor movement, a shorter course costs less in total.
- Look at outer London practices. Fees can differ between areas. Our guide to the cheapest Invisalign in London covers which savings make sense.
Can teenagers have Invisalign on a monthly plan?
Yes. Payment plans for under-18s are usually taken out by a parent or guardian. Teen aligners in London start from around £2,500 to £2,760, so a 24-month interest-free plan after a £500 deposit would be roughly £83 to £94 a month.
How does the monthly cost compare with braces?
Fixed braces are financed in the same way. London metal braces start from about £2,800 in outer London, which is about £96 a month over 24 months at 0% after a £500 deposit. Ceramic braces from £3,150 would be about £110 a month on the same terms. Our Invisalign vs braces comparison covers more than cost.
