Orthodontists across London

Which areas of London do you cover?

Orthodontists London accepts enquiries from all 32 London boroughs and the City of London. Tell us your preferred area in the form and we will try to match you with a vetted, GDC-registered practice in or near it. Fixed braces usually need a check-up every 6 to 10 weeks, so a practice near home or work makes treatment easier.

Choose your preferred part of London (central, north, east, south or west) in the enquiry form. We use it to choose one vetted orthodontic practice that suits your location. We have no office or premises open to the public; we are an online introduction service.

Orthodontists in inner London

Areas: City of London, Westminster, Camden, Hackney, Hammersmith and Fulham, Haringey, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea, Lambeth, Lewisham, Newham, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Wandsworth.

Harley Street and Wimpole Street in Marylebone, in the City of Westminster, have a long-established concentration of private dental and specialist practices. Central London is convenient if you work there, but in the published fee guide behind our price table, central London fees are higher than outer London fees for most treatments.

Orthodontists in north and north-west London

Boroughs: Barnet, Brent, Enfield, Harrow.

If you commute into central London, compare a practice near work with one near home. Fixed braces typically need appointments every 6 to 10 weeks over 18 to 24 months, so travel time adds up. Our adult braces guide explains typical treatment lengths.

Orthodontists in east and north-east London

Boroughs: Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge, Waltham Forest.

Children who may qualify for free NHS orthodontic treatment are usually referred by their NHS dentist, and waiting times vary between practices. Our NHS braces guide explains who qualifies and how eligibility is assessed.

Orthodontists in south-east London

Boroughs: Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich.

If school or work hours make weekday visits difficult, ask whether a practice offers early-morning, evening or Saturday appointments. Availability varies between practices, so mention it in the notes when you enquire.

Orthodontists in south and south-west London

Boroughs: Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Sutton.

Wherever you are, you can check registration for free: the GDC register shows whether a dentist is on the Specialist List in Orthodontics, and the CQC website shows each clinic’s latest inspection report.

Orthodontists in west London

Boroughs: Ealing, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Richmond upon Thames.

The published fee guide we use for our price tables lists outer London prices at branches in Teddington and Richmond, in Richmond upon Thames. They are lower than the same group’s central London fees, for example adult metal braces from £2,800 compared with £3,650.

Inner and outer London follow the Office for National Statistics definition. The outer-London groupings are informal and used here for readability only.

Questions about areas

Do you cover all of London?
Yes. We accept enquiries from every London borough and the City of London. Choose your preferred area (central, north, east, south or west) in the form and we will try to match you with a vetted practice in or near it.
Are orthodontists cheaper in outer London?
Often, but not always. In the published fee guide we use, one group’s outer London branches charge less than its central London practice for most treatments, for example adult metal braces from £2,800 compared with £3,650. Prices vary between practices, so compare written quotes.
Can I choose a practice near work instead of home?
Yes. Pick whichever area suits you, for example near your office in the City or Canary Wharf. Fixed braces need regular check-ups for many months, so choose the location you can reach most easily.
